Writing Progress & Changes
It is October 2022. I finally finished writing the rough draft for my third novel. I started editing it, but I just seem overwhelmed. My first two novels were easier to do, maybe because I was younger and I had more energy. I realized my 3rd novel is all over the place, moving in different directions, which might work out for a murder mystery novel, but I need to organize everything to make it flow right. I feel stressed.
I took a break last week at the new OCMA building. I also went window-shopping at SCP. I need to find new places to check out. I am tired of routine.
2022 is almost over. And, I am working on this third novel very slowly, not sure about the direction or plot, but mostly freewriting interesting ideas I can work with. There appears to be too many characters coming and going, but most of these characters are secondary characters; so, I guess it doesn't really matter.
I am still doing meetups--walking meetups and book meetups. I finished reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. It was an interesting novel, similar to a twisted soap opera. I felt sorry for Elphaba and I didn't really see her as evil or wicked. Her sister, the East Witch, isn't really wicked either; she was actually very religious, while West Witch was an an athiest and animal rights activist. West Witch was cursed with a green face, while East Witch was cursed with being born without arms. The story is filled with corruption debauchery, affairs, and witchcraft. Glinda and Elphaba were actually roommates in college, and they eventually became good friends, but Glinda ended up betraying Elphaba because she collaborated with the fraud, corrupt liar Wizard.
Now, I am reading one of the books I bought during the last day of the Borders closing sale.
Yoga Meetup is going downhill. I think the people there are moving in different direction, and not many people are showing up.
I am still going to the gym. I feel better when I work out.
I need to move forward in some other direction, but not sure where...
